Terms of Service
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Budgeteer — the budgeting and forecasting web application available on this website, including its AI assistant (the “Service”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or another organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and “you” also means that organization.
2. What Budgeteer is — and what it is not
Budgeteer is a planning tool. It lets you build budgets, scenarios and forecasts from the numbers, assumptions and formulas you enter, and offers an AI assistant that can explain the figures and edit the budget on your instructions.
Budgeteer does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. We are not a licensed financial advisor, broker, bank or payment institution. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset, to take or repay a loan, or to make any other financial decision.
Forecasts are the arithmetic result of your own assumptions. They are not predictions, guarantees or statements about the future; actual results will differ. Answers of the AI assistant are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Check important figures yourself and consult a qualified professional before making decisions that matter to you.
You make all financial decisions independently and at your own risk.
3. Your account
You can create an account with an email address and a password, or sign in with a Google account. Keep your credentials secret and do not share your account: it is personal, and you are responsible for everything that happens under it.
Keep your email address current — we use it for sign-in links, security notices and billing documents. If you suspect that someone else has access to your account, change your password, use “Sign out on all devices” and contact us.
We may suspend or close accounts created with false information, in violation of these Terms, or by automated means.
4. Your data
Everything you enter into the Service — budgets, scenarios, notes, attached files, assistant conversations — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.
To run the Service we need your permission to store, process, back up, display and transmit this content as described in the Privacy Policy, including sending the relevant parts to the AI model provider when you use the assistant. You grant us this permission for as long as the content is in the Service. We do not sell your data and do not use it to train AI models.
You are responsible for the content you upload: it must be lawful and must not infringe the rights of others. Do not upload data you have no right to process.
You can export your budgets at any time (CSV, XLSX). Sharing links you create give read-only access to anyone who has the link: you decide whom you share them with and can revoke them at any time.
5. The AI assistant
The assistant works with large language models provided by third parties. It changes your budget only through a draft: proposed changes are shown to you and are applied to the budget only when the draft is applied — by you, or by the assistant on your explicit instruction. Review the draft before applying it.
The assistant may search the web and read web pages; such content comes from third parties, and we are not responsible for its accuracy. Attached files are analyzed by programs in an isolated environment on our servers; the results are presented by the assistant and may contain errors.
Using the assistant consumes AI credits (section 9). We may limit the size, number or cost of assistant operations to keep the Service stable.
6. Your own model
You may connect your own language-model provider (“Own model”). While such a connection is on, your budget data and assistant conversations are sent to the provider you chose, and we neither pay for nor limit those requests. You are responsible for the access key, for payments to the provider and for compliance with its terms. We store the key encrypted and use it only for your assistant’s requests.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: • use the Service for anything unlawful, or store or distribute unlawful content through it; • access other people’s accounts or data, or try to bypass access controls, plan limits or rate limits; • probe, scan or disrupt the Service, its infrastructure or its analysis sandbox, or send malicious code; • scrape the Service or use automated tools in a way that burdens it; • use the assistant to produce content that violates the rights of others or the rules of the model providers; • resell the Service or offer it to third parties as your own service without our written consent.
We may suspend or terminate access that violates these rules.
8. Plans, payment and invoices
The free plan is available without payment. Paid plans raise the limits and include AI credits as described on the Pricing page; the prices and plan contents that apply to your order are those shown there when you place it. New accounts get a one-time plan trial per device after email verification.
A paid plan is paid in advance — for a month or a year — by bank transfer against an invoice. This is a prepaid period: nothing is charged automatically, and the subscription does not renew by itself when the period ends. The plan starts once the payment has arrived and been confirmed. A cancelled subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.
The seller is determined by the payer’s country in your billing details: • payer in Russia — the Russian seller, invoice in rubles; • payer in any other country — the seller in Georgia, invoice in US dollars. The seller’s name and details are stated on the invoice. You are responsible for any taxes that the law of your country requires you to pay on the purchase.
We may change prices and plan contents. Changes do not affect a period that has already been paid.
9. AI credits
AI credits pay for the assistant’s work. Working with budgets by hand does not use credits. • Credits included in a subscription are valid until the end of the subscription month they were granted for, and then expire. • Purchased credit packs do not expire and remain after the subscription is cancelled. • AI credits are not money: they cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to another user.
10. Refunds
You may cancel a paid service at any time. We refund the unused part of the service and keep only the cost of AI credits already spent.
Refund amount: • monthly or yearly subscription — price × remaining days of the paid period / all days of the period, minus the cost of the plan’s AI credits spent in that period; • AI credit pack — pack price × unused credits of the pack / all credits of the pack. The refund is never below zero. The cost of spent credits is their price in the Service in US dollars; for an order in rubles it is converted at the Bank of Russia rate on the payment date of that order.
After a refund the subscription ends at once and the free plan applies; the unused credits of that order are cancelled. If more than the unused part is refunded (for example, after a chargeback by the payer’s bank), the assistant’s paid features are suspended until the cost of the spent credits is reimbursed; working with budgets by hand remains available.
To request a refund, write to [email protected] from your account’s email address and name the order. The money is returned by the same method that was used for the payment. Mandatory consumer rights under the law that applies to you are not limited.
11. When a plan ends
When a paid period ends without renewal, the free plan applies. If your budgets do not fit into it, you have 45 days to remove the excess or pay for a suitable plan. After that, the excess is switched off until payment: • excess items are left out of the forecast; • excess budgets and scenarios become read-only. No data is deleted.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party services: Google sign-in, AI model providers, a web search provider, hosting and email delivery. Their availability is outside our control. Your use of Google sign-in and of your own model provider is also subject to their terms. The Service may contain links to other websites that we do not control.
13. Intellectual property and feedback
The Service — its software, design, texts, templates and trademarks — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or create derivative works of the Service except where the law allows it.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely to improve the Service without any obligation to you.
14. Changes to the Service, suspension and termination
We develop the Service continuously and may add, change or remove features. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation: maintenance, failures of providers or security incidents may make the Service unavailable.
You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in Settings (what is deleted and what is kept is described in the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms, for non-payment, or if we discontinue the Service; in the last case we will notify you in advance where reasonably possible so that you can export your data.
After termination, your data is deleted under the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive — disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law — remain in force.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of calculations and forecasts, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Where the law does not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, the exclusion applies to the extent permitted.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for loss of profit, savings, data or business opportunities, or for decisions you make based on the Service’s figures or the assistant’s answers.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence and mandatory consumer rights.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of the country in which the operator of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence.
Before going to court, please contact us: most issues can be resolved directly. Disputes that cannot be settled this way are resolved by the courts competent under the applicable law.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The current version is always published on this page together with its date. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the Service before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account in Settings.
19. Language
These Terms are written in English. For payers in Russia, the public offer in Russian published on the Russian version of this page applies instead. If we publish translations of these Terms, they are provided for convenience only; in case of discrepancy the English version prevails.
